Death Note , it's one of the most popular Animes, And it was officially aired in Fall 2006 in Japan.

It has 9/10 Rating on IMDb

And 8.7/10 on MyAnimeList.

     This Anime shows the story of Light Yagami, a 17 years old Japanese High School boy.

"Light Yagami"

One day he finds a book that says "Death Note" on the cover. He thinks it's a prank or something, but then he tests it... and the book WORKS... then he starts to write names of criminals. 

But on the other hand, he's dad is a chief inspector, who doesn't know that he's own kid is doing all these deaths, and for him it's not good to kill criminals like that.... they are all in jail for what they done and that's enough for them, no one has rights to kill them. So he starts an investigation to catch the person who's doing that.

And then he takes help of "L".

"L Lawlite"

L is one of the most intelligent character of Anime history. He's the best character of this series. He has a doubt on Light Yagami from the very beginning , because he knows how much clever and smart is Light Yagami, and the person who's killing the criminals is also very clever, he's killing them so smartly. So L follows Light in the whole series to get any clues or evidence. And Light knows that so he wants to kill 'L' but he don't know he's name... All he knows is "L" So he can't kill somebody by just writing 'L' so he's looking for 'L' Full and Real name.

So that's what the series shows us, but this is just a bit from the plot. 

The series contains many more characters, with so much twist and turns.

The reason why it is a MASTERPIECE... The way they made it... The Direction... It's not like a cartoon , The Direction is like a live action classic movie. The best Cartoon/Anime Direction I've ever seen. The Dramatic scenes and dialogues are so awesome.

Next point is the Background score, Everyone loves the BGM and Sound Effects of Death Note. They did the best use of their Sound Effects. 

These are the reasons of why you should watch it : 

1. To know how it will end. Will the chief get know that his son is the person who's killing those people ? 

2. Will Light be successful in knowing L's Full and real name ? Will he be successful in killing L ?

3. To watch how great the Direction, Animation, The Drama and Sound Effects are.

4. To know that what are the Twist and Turns.

5. To watch the Mysterious, Psychological, Criminal-astic and  Dramatic Anime series.
